THE 15TH HEADIES BIG ANNOUNCEMENT REVEALED: Meet the Head of Headies Award – Ayo Animashaun

If your dreams don’t challenge you, they aren’t big enough.

Despite the daunting battles he has faced in over 27 years in the entertainment industry, Ayo Animashaun continues to push forward, establishing himself as a media mogul in Nigeria.

Speaking on stage the 15^th Headies Big Announcement, Ayo Animashaun talks about how the Headies Award is raising the bar for the Entertainment Industry after revealing that the 15^th Headies Award will be happening in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

According to him; “We have moved the 15^th Headies from Nigeria to the city of Atlanta. The next award will happen at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, on 2^nd of July, 2022.”

Speaking on the stage, is an Official Representative from the United States Consulate, he said; “We are very proud to support this from the United States Consulate. We are very proud to see Nigeria and this relationship with the United States burgeoning, growing.”

He also added; “This is the year for Nigeria when art and culture, music, film and even sports. 3 Grammy Winners were from Nigeria. The Headies I’m sure is going to attract American talents as well as International Talents.”

Presenting further is the revelation of the TALENT HUNT known as Micheck which will be happening across major parts of the Country (Nigeria), thereby raising more dreamers, upcoming artists, and creatives into the Music Industry.

And the winner of the Talent Show – Micheck will be going to the Big Global stage in Atlanta to be showcased at the 15^th Headies Award Grand Finale.

A day where an Instant Superstar is created.

What also set the roof ablaze was when Ayo Animashaun revealed the 15^th Headies Award prize for the Next Rated category. The winner will go home with – a Bentley Bentayga.

In addition, 7 new categories have been added to the existing 25 categories, which now sums up to 32 categories. The new categories to be introduced at the 15th Headies include;

– Music Executive of the Year

– Best Afrobeat Pop Single (Nigeria)

– Best Afrobeat Pop Album (Nigeria)

– Best African Collaboration

– Best International Collaboration

– African Artiste of the Year

– International Artiste of the Year

The 15^th Headies Awards will be happening at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, Atlanta USA, on the 2^nd of July, 2022.
