Africa’s leading music awards platform, The Headies, led by its founder and CEO, Ayo Animashaun, organised the 18th Headies Reception with the theme The Headies: Road to Toronto. Prominent representatives from Nigeria’s entertainment and creative sectors, government, business, media, and diplomatic community attended the event, which was hosted by the Deputy High Commission of Canada in Lagos. In addition to showcasing the expanding relationship between Africa’s creative sector and the global world, the reception represented a significant turning point in the run-up to the 18th Headies Awards in Toronto, Canada.
